Version 2.1 — 3 October 2026.
These terms cover the bill audit and dispute service, and nothing else. There is no installer or renewables service in this agreement. Clause 9 is the only place an installer is mentioned, and it is a limit on us, not a service we are offering.
BilliT-Co is a trading name of G Financial Wealth Pty Ltd, ABN 34 692 930 662, of Holland Park, Queensland. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person who holds the account.
Email us about anything here: energy@billit-co.com.
This is an ongoing service, not a one-off check.
You upload your electricity bills. We keep reading them, keep checking them for billing errors, and keep telling you what we find — for as long as you stay with us. When a new bill arrives, you upload it and we check that one too.
It runs until you cancel. There is no term, no lock-in and no exit fee.
Our Privacy Notice explains what we do with your information. It is part of this agreement, and the two were written together so they cannot contradict each other.
BilliT-Co is for account holders. You sign up with your email address and a password, and you tick a box to say you have read and accept these terms and the Privacy Notice. We record when you ticked it and which version you accepted.
You must be at least 18, and you must be the person who holds the electricity account you upload, or be authorised by that person to act on it.
We confirm your email address before you can upload a bill. We send a link; you open it. Until you do, the account cannot be used to upload.
If you forget your password, you can reset it yourself from the sign-in page. Resetting it, or signing out, ends every session signed in to your account, on every device.
We cannot see your password — we store it only in a form that cannot be reversed. Keep it to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
We read your bill, check its arithmetic, and check its charges against what the bill itself says.
We tell you what we checked and what we did not check. Where we could not form a view — because something was unreadable, because the bill does not print the rates we would need to compare against, or because the bill uses a structure we do not handle yet — we say "not assessed" and give the reason.
We never report "no errors" for a bill we did not actually check.
You can also upload a meter data file, or photograph your meter. The Privacy Notice explains what happens to those.
We do not promise to find anything.
A bill that is correct is a bill with nothing to recover, and most bills may well be correct. An audit that finds nothing is the service working, not the service failing — and it costs you nothing.
Anything you read from us anywhere — this page, our site, an email — is a statement that we will look. It is never a statement that we will find something, how much, or how often.
If we find something worth disputing, we tell you what it is, what we think it is worth, and what we would say to your retailer.
Nothing is lodged in your name until you approve that specific dispute — the amount and the detail. Not a general permission. Each dispute is its own approval, every time, for as long as you are with us.
When you approve one, you authorise us, for that dispute only, to:
You are not authorising us to change your plan or tariff, switch your retailer, make or receive payments, settle without telling you, or represent you in court.
You can withdraw a dispute authority at any time by emailing us. We stop, and we either withdraw the dispute or hand it to you — your choice.
About the ombudsman. Those schemes are free, and they say plainly that you do not have to pay anyone to represent you. Some will contact you directly when a paid representative is involved, and may ask you to sign their own authority form. That is normal, and we will help you with it.
Because this service is continuous, what you agree to at sign-up is ongoing too: you are agreeing that we may keep reading and checking the bills you give us, over time — not just the first one.
Withdrawing that is one email to us, and it takes effect as soon as we receive it. It is no harder to stop than it was to start. We will not ask you to phone anyone, complete a form, or explain yourself.
We will not send your bill data, your property details or your contact details to any solar or battery installer, or to any other third party of that kind, unless you have explicitly asked us for renewables quotes.
Not by default. Not because you looked at something. Not because we inferred you might be interested. Only if you ask, in a deliberate action we record, with the date and time.
If you never ask, it never happens, and nothing in this agreement permits it.
If you do ask, that is a separate service on separate terms, and we would put those terms in front of you and ask for your consent at that point — not now, and not buried in this agreement.
Nothing upfront. Nothing for the audit. Ever. Checking your bills is free whether we find something or not.
We are paid only on extra money that actually shows on your real bill. We take 20% of the extra, plus GST, which is 22% in total. You keep the rest. Nothing found, nothing to pay. We invoice when the bill that shows it arrives. Never on a prediction, an estimate, or a saving that has not yet shown on a bill.
GST is added to the 20%. GST is 10% of the 20% fee, so the total you pay is 22% of the extra. The total on the invoice is the whole amount you pay.
How long. The fee applies to every bill that shows the extra, for as long as your account is active. You can cancel at any time (clause 11), with no exit fee, and we charge nothing on any bill that arrives after you cancel.
Your baseline. Before we start, we record what your own real bills from before we started showed coming back to you. It comes from your bills, not from an estimate, and it is kept on your account.
Each new bill. When a new bill arrives, we add up the money back it shows and compare it with your baseline for a bill of the same length. If it shows more, the difference is the extra, and we take 20% of it plus GST: 22% in total. If it shows the same or less, there is no fee on that bill.
Bills of different lengths. Your baseline is kept per day, from your baseline bills' own figures and days, so a 95-day bill is compared with 95 days of your baseline, not 90.
Money back that counts: a credit or refund from your retailer shown on the bill, a discount shown on the bill, and a solar feed-in credit shown on the bill.
These never count, and we never charge a fee on them:
You were getting $100 back a quarter before we started. Your new quarterly bill shows $250 back. The extra is $150. Our fee is $30 (20%) plus $3 GST: $33 in total (22%). You keep the other $117 of the extra. If the new bill shows $100 back or less, our fee on it is nothing.
If your retailer takes money back, or reverses a credit, within 12 months, and the reason has nothing to do with anything you did wrong, we refund our fee on that amount in full. You should not be left paying us for a benefit you did not keep.
We invoice after the bill that shows the extra has arrived. Not before. Payment is due 14 days from the date of the invoice.
Every invoice is a tax invoice. It shows your baseline, the money back on the bill, the extra, the 20% fee, the GST (10% of that fee) as its own line, and the total (22%).
Your retailer pays or credits you, directly. We do not receive your money, hold it, or take our fee out of it. We invoice you separately.
A dispute you approved under an earlier version of these terms keeps the fee those terms set: 20% of money back, 10% of a charge wiped, GST included. It is not charged again through your bill.
You can cancel at any time by emailing us. No notice period, no exit fee, no reason needed.
What happens the moment we receive it:
A dispute already lodged is your choice. If one is still open when you cancel, you tell us whether to withdraw it or let it run. If you say nothing, we will ask, and we will not lodge anything further either way.
If you let it run and it succeeds, the fee on that dispute still applies — you approved it and the work was already done. If you withdraw it, no fee, whatever happens afterwards.
These are two different things and we will not treat one as the other.
If you want both, say both, and we will do both.
If you ask us to delete your information we will, except anything that is evidence in a dispute we lodged on your behalf — and we will tell you exactly what we kept and why.
The Privacy Notice has the rest, including backups and logs.
If information you gave us was wrong and we lodged a dispute on the strength of it, we may have to withdraw that dispute, and we will tell you why.
We can end this agreement by giving you 14 days' notice by email. If you have used the service dishonestly — someone else's bills, or information you knew was false — we may end it immediately and tell you why.
Ending it does not cancel a fee already earned, and does not cancel our obligation to refund a fee under clause 10.4.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law come first. Nothing here limits or excludes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under that law, and if anything here conflicts with it, that law wins. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a service, we limit it to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Subject to that:
We do not exclude liability for fraud, or anything we cannot exclude by law.
If we change these terms we will email you, tell you what changed in plain words, and give you at least 14 days before the change applies to you.
If you do not agree, cancel before it takes effect, at no cost. The old terms still apply to any dispute already lodged. We will not apply a change retrospectively to a dispute under way or a fee already earned.
Tell us first — energy@billit-co.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and tell you what happens next.
If that does not settle it:
Nothing here stops you going to any of them at any time, including before talking to us.
One agreement. These terms and the Privacy Notice are the whole agreement about the audit and dispute service.
If part fails, the rest stands.
Governing law: the law of Queensland, and the courts there. This does not stop you bringing a claim anywhere the law allows.
Some accounts we cannot audit. Business accounts on demand tariffs, and some embedded networks, are outside what our engine handles today. If yours is one, we will tell you rather than guess at it.
